With our office in Midland, North Carolina, nestled between Locust and Mint Hill, we are a team of counselors who are looking to serve the needs of the local communities of Cabarrus, Union, Stanly, and surrounding counties.

Our mission is to meet the mental health needs within our local community by providing counseling services with heart, knowledge, experience, and excellence.
Our Story
Oak Path Counseling Group started as a single provider counseling practice in 2010 under the name of its founder. The practice operated first in Locust until moving to Midland in 2016, where it continued to serve the local community.
However, as the area continued to grow, so too did the demand for counseling services. As time passed, it became increasingly clear that a single-counselor practice wasn’t capable of meeting all of these needs.
So, in the fall of 2020, Oak Path Counseling Group was formed, expanding this single-counselor practice into a group practice, to better serve the needs of our community amidst a global pandemic.
Our Name
We chose the name Oak Path Counseling Group for a number of reasons.
First, as we travel along the path of life, each of us wants that journey to be peaceful. There are few more peaceful places to walk than an old wooded path, surrounded by God’s beautiful creation.
Second, we each desire for our lives to have trajectory and purpose. A path is a route with a beginning and destination, and a path among oaks is one that has stood the test of time and provides a way forward.
Last, we all need a place to stop and rest while we travel. Like sheltering oaks along a path, we provide a resting place of shade and comfort along the way.
